I recall reading from a magazine that about 20% of the girls under 15 in the world die, and many are because of suicide because of unequal rights, selfconciousness, etc. Sikhism always promoted equality, and to be nice to everyone u meet, and not to judge by ones looks. Its strange that alot of religions in the world are like that and yet some people dont know and really dont care about these principles. hmmmmm

3 days ago i was watching a bunch of spritual/inspirational videos and i decided that i want to live my life like this, like a 'hard core sikh'(credits to my brother). I thought about setting my alarm at around 6 am clock but later forgot. The next morning i woke up at almost exactly 5:30 am! NO alarm. I thought "this is Something"! So i took a cold shower much against my will and sat down and started saying the mool mantra. Pretty soon i was concentrating really hard, really thinking about the words and its meaning. Then when i started doing it around the 6th time something strange started happening. During each verse, a small yellow light with a blue hole grew bigger and bigger 'in' my sight(my eyes were closed) then immetiatly grew small after the verse was done. I was amazed. Yesterday I was listening to the gurbani in the harminder sahib on the tv but strangely i couldn't concentrate. Today a similar thing happened like the first day, i was sitting down and praying and after the second time saying the mool mantra a beautiful pink light was 'filling' my sight while my eyes were closed during each verse. I concluded technology is disturbing your concentration. Amazing

does anyone really read my blog or am i just writing on the computer for no apparent reason and making my eyes worse than they already are? i really dont like glasses(in other words i hate it..) I mean.. u can bearly do anything without them..and then u cant do everything with them.. especially outdoor stuff. SSA! The writing test wasnt THAT bad... it was a good prompt but i really didnt know what to write about. I started day dreaming and all than i got an idea to write about when i went to the taj mahal. I got my report card last week and was SO close to getting an honor roll:( i only got 1 B+!! 1! in science and the rest were all As! right now i am doing my sciece project. it is to see if water freezes faster than milk. i thought water would freeze faster than milk but surprisgly milk was more frozen than water!

Tomorrow is the winter break!!! Today we had a Christmas party. In the party u have to wrap a present and u cant write your name on it. Then u have to wait until u get called up and when u do u choose 1 present. I was the last 1 and guess what i got? wrapped in black paper was a little piece of paper that said 'Happy Easter' with 2 long pieces of pink SOMETHING! and also if u don't bring a gift u cant get a gift so i bet the person just brought that to school to get a present. : ( But tomorrow is winter break!!!!!!!!!!!!

SSA! It snowed!!! For a few days i thought it would never snow!!! Since my mom goes to work at 5am, today my dad went. I woke up hearing something about snow. So i jumped out of my bed and looked out the window. There was snow everywhere!!! Then my mom told me to go to sleep but i was wide awake so i brushed and went down and here i am writing on my blog at 6:30 in the morning 30 minutes after our school's principle called saying that although today was supposed to a half day school will start at 10:00am. Mom says i cant sled before school though. :(

ssa! ok, now this is weird. when i checked my name on the back to school list, it said only 1 teacher. instead there was 2 teachers in the class. the 'original' teacher taught most things while the other one taught science and spelling. the other teacher started teaching more subjects until the 'original' teacher was barely in class. then i learnt that the other teacher was in training. a few days ago the other teacher announced that she is going to move from our school in a few weeks. and today the 'original' teacher said that she wont be our teachetr anymore but she will stay in our school because she got a new job which... uhhhhhhh has a confusing name. and now we are getting a completely new teacher. weird huh?

so who is our school teacher?

ssa. Ever since my brother went to india i finally started reading the books he said were 'good'. to be honest, they are good!!!!! I started reading a really good series called Artemis Fowl and here is a conversation i had with him a few weeks ago

SSA! I went to india for a month and have to much homework to do. I maybe went all over india. I went to puri, i went to punjab,rourkela,ludhiana, waga border, and dehradun. I went to Bodega Bay, California too. Over there in one beach was a creek and a beach in one place. The whether was cold there but the sand was warm. Today is 'Art Night', where all the the art projects which you make in class are in a silent auction although i don't know why strangers would buy other kids' art who they don't know. I'll update soon.(hopefulley) SSA!

SSA! Espanola is beautiful. The sunset was unbelievable, it was like a rainbow! I'm in the hotel right now. We went to Taos and Santa Fe today. We wil go to Las Vegas for three days but it is a ten hour drive. In Santa Fe today we went to jackalope. It was very cool, I got to pet a donkey, look at birds and i saw how to make ornaments. I also got to meet Gurumustuk Singh when i went to the gurdwara. I'll try to update more! SSA!
